A good way to soak up the atmosphere is to visit Suva's colourful market, with its fresh produce and local crafts, or take a walk along Suva's sea wall and enjoy the harbour views. Heading down the main thoroughfare of Victoria Street there are shops, restaurants and banks, and towards the end of the parade, you'll find Suva's Government Buildings, Albert Park and the lovely Thurston Gardens. Other
sights to see in Suva include the city's impressive Roman Catholic Cathedral (dating back to 1902), the superb Fiji Museum, the Parliament Buildings near Suva Point and the old cemetery with its Chinese area.
